The holiday season is here, and Woodcliff is proud to join Morguard’s North Pole Express, a special initiative to bring comfort and joy to children in foster care. Together, we can make this season brighter for kids who need a little extra love and care.
What Is the North Pole Express? 🎁
The North Pole Express is a community-wide donation drive led by Morguard communities, including Woodcliff, to collect essential and comforting items for foster children. For the next four weeks, our lobby will transform into a festive drop-off location for your contributions. These donations will fill comfort cases—backpacks designed to provide practical items and thoughtful touches to children in need.
Who Are We Helping? 💙
We’ve partnered with Comfort Cases , a nonprofit organization that supports children in foster care by providing backpacks filled with necessities like pajamas, books, blankets, and hygiene products. These comfort cases give foster children a sense of dignity and hope, replacing the trash bags often used to carry their belongings.
How Can You Help? 🌟
From now until December 13th , you can make a difference by dropping off donations in our lobby collection box. Items we’re collecting include:
New pajamas (all sizes welcome)
Diaper wipes (packs of 10–48)
Children’s board books (to inspire young minds)
Small blankets and stuffed animals (for warmth and comfort)
Baby washcloths (to support daily care)
Every contribution, no matter how big or small, helps. Please ensure all items are new and unused , and we kindly request no religious or holiday-themed items to keep donations inclusive for all children.
Need More Information?
If you have any questions or need guidance, our team is here to assist you. Stop by the leasing office or give us a call, and we’ll be happy to help you participate in this wonderful cause.
Why Participate? 🎅

With St. Patrick's Day just around the corner, there will be festive events across the nation. At Woodcliff, opportunities for celebration surround us!
St. Patrick's Day has a long history - in Ireland, the United States, and beyond. Historically, this day recognizes the patron saint of Ireland for his good deeds. In contrast, modern St. Patrick's Day events typically focus on Irish heritage and pride as a whole.
The United States is always heavily involved in the celebration of this holiday. Historians say the first St. Patty's Day parade actually took place in North America.
Today, celebrating St. Patrick's Day takes a lot of forms. Parades are still a classic choice, but bar crawls, restaurant specials, and block parties are also popular. No matter your style, you can find a way to partake in the festivities.
We love the flexibility and convenience that living in a Pensacola apartment community gives us. The best Pensacola has to offer surrounds our residents. While Pensacola may not be the first place you think of when St. Patrick's Day comes around, there are some great community events!
So, wear some green and check out the festivities going on in the Pensacola community!
St. Patrick's Day Events in Pensacola, and More!
Irish Food and Drinks are must haves on St. Patrick's Day. You can't miss some annual classics like corned beef, cabbage, and beer. The options are endless each year; therefore, we'll just highlight a few tasty options.
Step inside McGuire’s Irish Pub , a Pensacola favorite to feast on themed food and drinks to celebrate the occasion. If you’re looking for something a little bit lower key, O’Riley’s Irish Pub is another great option near our community!
Looking to celebrate with more than just great food and drink? You’re in luck! Go Irish on the island with Pensacola’s St. Patrick’s Day Beach Pub Crawl , an annual tradition where hundreds of people tour a dozen of the quirky bars and eateries that Pensacola has to offer. Who knows, you may just discover your new favorite spot!
Celebrate From Home
Since March 17th is a Sunday, a lot of the festivities are on Friday and Saturday. Hosting a get together on the actual day may prove entertaining.
In our community, St. Patrick's Day celebrations are welcome. For specific guidelines or available spaces, reach out to our team! We would love to see how creative our residents can get.
Here's just a couple ideas that could work in your apartment home this St. Patty's Day:
For something more family friendly, potluck-styled Irish food could be a hit. Corned beef and cabbage are classics; however, there are other great Irish dishes. When in doubt, green colored sweet treats are always popular.
Party games are also a way to stay more tame - or go crazy. For more of a challenge, try bringing an Irish twist to existing party games!
Cocktails are a fun way to play into the green theme too. While beer is the typical choice, hosting a house party leaves room for creativity. "Lucky" cocktails or green mocktails sound delicious!
Celebrating March 17, 2024
Ultimately, there is a plethora of ways to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. We highlighted a handful but look into some more options if nothing sounds like the perfect fit!
No matter your interests, you can find or create a celebration that fits your preferences.

It’s always great to shop local and celebrating National Pancake Day might create the perfect opportunity to try a new -or return to a local favorite- restaurant.

Try A New Way of Topping Your Pancake
Syrup and butter might be a classic that can’t be beat, but there are a ton of different ways to top your pancake. From covered in candy to savory, consider trying something new! You may find a new favorite way to begin the day.
It might even be educational to learn how countries around the world top their pancakes. For example, Norwegian pancakes are often topped with jam and/or a sweet cheese called brunost. This sounds like a delicious combo and a great educational activity!
